Russell Westbrook Previews Unreleased J.I.D. Song

Dreamville’s J.I.D released his much-anticipated sophomore album DiCaprio 2 back in November which has since received high-acclaim from fans and the industry alike. On the project, J.I.D paid tribute to NBA Superstar Russell Westbrook on the A$AP Ferg-assisted song “Westbrook.” Now, the Oklahoma point-guard is returning the favor, and featured an unreleased song by the rapper in his new sneaker commercial.

Russell and the Jordan brand debuted the new Why Not Zer0.2 performance sneaker, showcasing its first colorway and unique design.

“Every colorway has a meaning behind it that is special to me. With the Why Not Zer0.2, I wanted to take that storytelling to the next level with an exposed tag that helps illustrate the meaning behind the colors used.”

The sneaker will be available in all retailers, January 10th. As for J.I.D, hopefully the previewed track means the Atlanta star has new music ready to go for fans in the coming months.
