H.E.R. Pays Tribute to Aretha Franklin on “Let’s Get Away” |

H.E.R. pays respect to Aretha Franklin with her soulful tribute “Let’s Get Away.”

The breezy jam features a sample of the Queen of Soul’s classic song “Day Dreaming” off her 1972 album Young, Gifted and Black.

“Hey, baby let’s get away / Let’s go somewhere far,” she sings on the effortless cut.

H.E.R. recently released her six-track EP I Used to Know Her: The Prelude, which features a collaboration with Bryson Tiller (“Could’ve Been”) and the Lauryn Hill-inspired “Lost Souls.” She also recently paid tribute to Janet Jackson at the 2018 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards.
