The final, and considering by some the most anticipated project of Kanye West’s five-album opus is finally here. After her star power and name broke into the mainstream back in 2016 thanks to her role in Kanye West’s “Fade video, G.O.O.D. Music’s Teyana Taylor releases her long-awaited sophomore album. K.T.S.E. (Keep the Same Energy) serves as a follow-up to Taylor’s 2014 debut VII. Executive produced by Kanye West, the album was debuted at listening party on Thursday night (Jun. 21) at Universal Studios in Hollywood, where a movie set was transformed to look like Teyana’s hometown of Harlem, NYC.
Coming in at eight tracks, the album features contributions by West (“Hurry”), Ty Dolla $ign (“3Way”) and Mykki Blanco (“WTP”). K.T.S.E. was the last of five albums produced by Kanye, following DAYTONA by Pusha T, West’s own ye, the Kid Cudi joint album KIDS SEE GHOSTS, and Nas’ NASIR. The singer/designer/television star will support the album on a North American with Jeremih this summer, kicking off on Aug. 3.
