The legendary Nile Rodgers and Chic are launching a surprise comeback in 2018 with It’s About Time, their first album in 26 years. Ahead of its release on September 14, here’s an expectedly groovy glimpse of the project called “Till the World Falls,” featuring Chicago’s Vic Mensa, British producer Mura Masa and Cosha, the “fluoro-pop” artist formerly known as Bonzai. Anderson .Paak also contributed to the record as a songwriter and ad-lib man (yes lawd!).
“Anderson .Paak and I were at Abbey Road [Studios] for three days,” Rodgers tells Pitchfork. “We had just three days booked to just jam and write songs and just do whatever we felt… Anderson Paak is just a genius, and working with him was, as I say, smooth as a gravy sandwich.”
